Honors is about pushing yourself to get the most out of your experiences at SF and beyond. How much extra work is Honors, really?
Honors classes aren't harder—they're more exciting. Honors courses cover the same core curriculum as standard sections; the difference is in how. Expect more discussion, more hands-on exploration, more collaboration. Most Honors students describe it as more engaging, not more burdensome.
Can I do Honors if I work or attend part-time?
Yes. Many of our students balance Honors with jobs, family, internships, and other commitments. The program is designed around involvement, not hours — and your Honors Points can come from activities that fit your schedule.
What if my GPA isn't perfect?
The Honors Program application is holistic. We look at more than your GPA — your project reflection, sample work, and recommendations all matter. Whether you're working toward building your academic track record or are already in a position to graduate with Honors, we want to support your success.
