Fire Extinguisher Training
Fire extinguishers are available throughout all buildings on every SF campus. Please familiarize yourself with the locations of the fire extinguishers in your work area and how to use them.

NOTE: Extinguishing a fire is optional if you know how to use a fire extinguisher, but never compromise your safety to attempt to extinguish a fire, and remember that fire extinguishers are only to be used on incipient (small) fires. Santa Fe Police officers and SF Building Safety Ambassadors are designated and trained to use fire extinguishers.

All holiday lights must adhere to the following regulations:

Individuals with Disabilities
The landings inside enclosed stairwells are considered areas of refuge for individuals with disabilities. In the event of evacuation, individuals with disabilities located above the ground floor should proceed to a designated area of refuge and remain until emergency personnel arrive. Supervisors are responsible for reporting the location of disabled individuals to emergency personnel. Evacuation chairs are available in Building S, the Tyree Library, the SF Police Department, Blount Hall, the Kirkpatrick Center, and the second floor of the Andrews Center in Starke to assist emergency personnel in the evacuation of disabled people from floors above the ground floor. SFPD officers are trained in use of the chairs.
