Fire Safety
Fire Extinguishers
Fire extinguishers are available throughout all buildings on every SF campus. Employees are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the fire extinguishers in your work area and how to use them. Extinguishing a fire is optional if you know how to use a fire extinguisher, but never compromise your safety to attempt to extinguish a fire, and remember that fire extinguishers are only to be used on incipient (small) fires. SFPD officers and SF Building Safety Ambassadors are designated and trained to use fire extinguishers.
