Adopt-A-Family Holiday Assistance

Overview

Each year at the holiday season, the Career Service Council lends a helping hand to one or more Career Service employees in the spirit of giving and mutual support. 

Eligibility

Adopt-a-Family Holiday Assistance recipients must meet the following requirements:

  • Recipient must be a current, non-probationary, full-time Career Service employee of Santa Fe College.
  • The nomination form below must be completed in its entirety prior to the deadline.
  • The nominator must provide a Letter of Support explaining what led you to nominate someone or yourself for this assistance.

Nomination

Recipients are nominated by their fellow Career Service employees and must meet the requirements listed below. To nominate someone else or yourself, complete the online application by the deadline date. (If nominating someone else, enter their name and information, not yours.) 

Awarding

  • Nominations are reviewed by the Career Service Executive Council Officers.
  • Assistance amounts are determined based upon 1) availability of Career Service funds and 2) number of nominations received.
  • Recipients are notified by the Career Service Council President.
  • Funds are issued directly to the recipient by the same method as they receive payroll (direct deposit or check).
  • An employee may receive aid from CSC no more than once within a 12-month period and twice within a three-year period.
  • The CSC Executive Officers have the ultimate authority regarding the administration and disbursement of funds.
