Liberal Arts and Sciences Curriculum Subcommittee

Committee Information

The curriculum committees are established to provide a systematic process for reviewing and recommending actions for proposed changes that affect the college's curricula. The process should be faculty-driven, incorporate administrative leadership and support, and assure effective communication and feedback throughout the college.

The LAS Curriculum Subcommittee provides a forum for the discussion of educational matters and review of curriculum proposals originating in Liberal Arts & Sciences departments. Membership of this subcommittee consists of the following:

  1. Faculty chair (non-voting except in a tie)
  2. Faculty chair-elect (voting)
  3. Two voting faculty members from each LAS department
  4. One voting faculty member from Library
  5. Representative of College-Wide Advising (advisory non-voting)
  6. Curriculum Coordinator (advisory non-voting)
  7. Associate Vice President for Liberal Arts & Sciences (advisory non-voting)
