“Terra Nova” opens Santa Fe College theatrical season

The theatrical drama “Terra Nova” will hit the Santa Fe College stage for two performances, Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8, at 7:30 p.m., at the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall, 3000 NW 83rd St., Gainesville.

Written by Ted Tally, Terra Nova is a gripping drama that brings to life the legendary 1910 –1912 expedition of British explorer Robert Falcon Scott and his doomed race to reach the South Pole. Blending historical fact with haunting theatrical imagination, the play —directed by SF Associate Professor of Theatre Russell Schultz — explores timeless themes of duty, honor, and sacrifice, as Scott and his men push themselves to the edge of human endurance. A powerful meditation on ambition and the cost of glory, Terra Nova is an unforgettable theatrical experience.
