SF Faculty Georgia Bianchi chosen 2026 AFC Professor of the Year

November 2, 2026

Santa Fe College’s Georgia Bianchi, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, has been recognized by the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) as Professor of the Year for 2026. Bianchi has taught since 2010 and served as Discipline Coordinator for more than a decade.

"I am convinced that I am merely a representation of my fellow Santa Fe College colleagues' dedication to student success," Bianchi said.

Beyond the classroom, Bianchi has helped to build Santa Fe College’s Study Abroad program, leading student trips to Jamaica that earned the College’s Study Abroad Program Sustainability Award. She mentors adjunct faculty and SF Achieve students, serves on the General Education Steering Committee, and was recently appointed to the Freedom to Learn Steering Committee, which supports students affected by incarceration in pursuing their education.

Bianchi will be recognized at the 2026 AFC Success Summit in Orlando this November and will receive the official award at the 2027 AFC Leadership Summit at Daytona State College in January.
