SF Basketball: Saints Struggle in Road Games Against Polk State and Miami Dade

Santa Fe College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams faced tough challenges on the road this past Saturday, with both teams falling to their opponents in conference matchups. The men’s team played an intense overtime game, while the women’s team struggled early against Miami Dade College.
Men’s Basketball
The Saints played a thrilling game against Polk State College in Winter Haven on Saturday afternoon. The game lasted 45 minutes and went into overtime before Polk State won 75-70.
The Saints now fall to 6-12 for the season and 1-3 in conference play.
Women’s Basketball
The Saints traveled to Miami on Saturday to play Miami Dade College. Miami Dade took control early, outscoring SF 29-13 in the first quarter. SF tried to catch up in the second half, but the lead was too big to overcome. Miami Dade College won 72-55.
The Saints are now 7-13 for the season and 3-7 in conference play.

Both SF teams are back in action on Wednesday, January 22, for away games against Florida Southwestern State College.
