Little School earns APPLE accreditation

Santa Fe College Little School is now accredited by APPLE, a nationally recognized accreditation agency.

APPLE’S accreditation process is built on rigorous benchmarks around student-centered learning, continuous improvement and institutional excellence. They accredit early childhood programs as well as K-12 schools.

Little School, located on the Northwest Campus, is an early childhood laboratory site for aspiring teachers of young children and provides a safe, enriching, stimulating and loving learning environment for toddlers and pre-school children.

The school is a service to SF students, staff and faculty, but enrollment is open to the community.

Little School had a perfect score of 100 percent on its portfolio and 99 percent on its site visit.

Heather Doles, Little School Director, thanked everyone involved in securing the accreditation, including her team, facilities and college leadership.

“APPLE accreditation speaks to the quality of our program and the trust our students and parents have in us,” she said.

The school is planning a celebration and open house for August.
