Karmello Branch’s Standout Season Draws Division I Interest

March 13, 2025
Santa Fe College’s Karmello Branch has been recognized as one of the top basketball players in Florida, earning a spot on the All-FCSAA Team. This honor places him among the 12 best players in the state at the junior college level. Recently, Branch was also named First Team All-Citrus Conference, further solidifying his standout season.
The sophomore guard led the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) in scoring, averaging 21.4 points per game. He scored in double figures in 30 of 32 games, including 20 games with at least 20 points. His season-high of 32 points came twice—once against Florida Gateway on November 13 and again against FSCJ on December 16.
“His best performances were against some of our toughest competition, when our team needed it the most,” SF Head Coach, John Ritzdorf said. “Karmello proved he is one of the best players in this region, and he is very deserving of this honor and recognition.”
Branch’s success has caught the attention of several NCAA Division I programs. He currently holds offers from Central Michigan, Florida A&M, Cal State Northridge, Northern Illinois, Missouri-Kansas City, Jacksonville and LeMoyne.
