Ghostlight Screening and Panel Discussion Coming to the Lyceum

February 18, 2025

A special screening of the award-winning film “Ghostlight” will take place on Thursday, February 27, at 5 p.m. in the Lyceum on the Northwest Campus. The Fine Arts Department and the Center for Applied Ethics and Humanities have partnered to present this event, which welcomes students, employees and the community.

Following the screening, a panel discussion will explore the role of the arts at Santa Fe College. This conversation will encourage engagement among staff and students while highlighting how the arts foster creativity, community and critical thinking.

“Ghostlight” tells the story of Dan, a construction worker struggling with personal loss and emotional distance from his wife and daughter. When he joins a local theater’s production of “Romeo and Juliet,” he discovers a newfound sense of belonging. As the play unfolds, the drama onstage begins to reflect his own life, forcing him and his family to confront their past.
