Join FrogWatch USA and Make a Difference in Your Community!
Do you love frogs? Are you curious about the wetlands in your area? FrogWatch USA is your chance to become a community scientist and help protect local frog populations in Alachua and Bradford counties.
What You’ll Learn
- How to identify local frog calls
- The importance of wetlands in our ecosystem
- How to collect and report valuable data
No science background? No problem! All you need is a passion for nature and the ability to visit a wetland regularly from February to August.
Get Certified!
Participants have the option to take a certification exam after the workshop, ensuring you're ready to contribute meaningful data to this nationwide program.

Quiet Hour
9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
No music or presentations on microphone. Sensory bags are available for checkout at the ticket window.

Regular admission applies.
- $10 - Adults
- $6 - Children ages 4-12, Seniors (60+), Active Military and Veterans, Teachers, Police, Firefighters, First Responders, EMT/EMS, Healthcare Workers (all with valid ID), UF students and staff with current Gator1 ID
- $3 - Electronics Benefits Transfer recipients (up to 4 total tickets with card, any combination of adults/children)
- Free - Children (3 and under), SF Students, Staff, and Retirees (with current SFID), and Zoo Members

Accessibility
The zoo features mulch-lined trails that are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers (no rentals available). Service animals are welcome, but pets are not permitted. We partner with KultureCity to provide sensory-inclusive accommodations, including free sensory bags, weighted lap pads, headphone zones, and a quiet area.
