How To Apply

Applications for the class starting in Fall 2024 are closed. Stay tuned for Summer 2025 applications.

1. Apply to the college

Apply for admission to Santa Fe College online

  • Submit official transcripts prior to downloading our program specific application, as they determine program eligibility or provide an override. If submitting from another institution, transcripts must be received and evaluated by Santa Fe College by the Zoo Animal Technology program application deadline.

2. Apply to the Zoo Animal Technology Program

Take a Potential Student Tour

Before deciding if this program is the right pathway to your goals, we highly recommend scheduling a potential student tour. Potential students are guided around the zoo by a student currently in the program and then can schedule a Zoom meeting with the academic advisor to further discuss the student's professional and academic goals.

Schedule a tour

Students must apply directly to the Zoo Animal Technology program through a separate paper application during specific time frames. The Zoo Animal Technology program does not start a new class every semester, but every other semester.

After applying to Santa Fe College and submitting all transcripts, please review the applications dates and deadlines for the program to find the current application.

Send your completed application to the Zoo Animal Technology program advisor via email, mail, or drop-off.

3. Accepting a Seat in the Zoo Animal Technology Program

Applicants will be notified of status via their Santa Fe College Office 365 email address (check your mail here). Date of notification is typically three (3) weeks after applications close and will be posted on the zoo webpage as well as Facebook and Instagram.

To accept a position in the program, selected students must reply to their decision email letter and complete all required Canvas course assignments by established deadlines. Failure to do so may result in the loss of a seat in the program. Full acceptance to the program is based upon successful outcome of all screenings and assignments. Students are required to use their Office 365 email account when communicating with employees at the college.
