Notice of Non-Discrimination under Title IX
Consistent with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Santa Fe College does not discriminate against students, faculty or staff based on sex in any of its programs or activities, including but not limited to educational programs, employment, and admission. Sexual harassment, including sexual violence, is a kind of sex discrimination and is prohibited by Title IX and by the college. Santa Fe College is committed to responding promptly and effectively when it learns of any form of possible discrimination based on sex. Santa Fe College responds to reports of sexual harassment, including sexual violence, as part of its efforts to stop the harassment and prevent its recurrence of possible sex discrimination.
Anyone who has questions or concerns regarding possible discrimination based on sex or wants to learn more about Title IX and the protection’s that it provides for pregnant and parenting students should contact the Equity Officer and Title IX Coordinator.
Campus Resources
Parenting Resource Subject Guide
The online Parenting Resource Subject Guide through the Library gives you access to books for children and parents, as well as family-friendly DVDs available for checkout anytime. Students can find helpful ebooks, videos, and TED Talks about parenting. As a student at SF, you can also check out books and read eBooks from over 160,000 titles in our collection, and access materials on course reserve from the Library using your SFID as a library card.
Lactation Room
SF recognizes the importance and benefits of breastfeeding for student parents and their infants. The lactation spaces listed below offer a clean, secure, and private space and is equipped with a comfortable seat and table.
We recommend that you bring a small cooler to store your breast milk. Santa Fe College is not responsible for the security or integrity of breast milk.
The Northwest Campus has a lactation room available on the first floor of Building S. This room is available to any SF-affiliated nursing parent, student, faculty, staff, visitor, and breastfeeding spouse or partner. To schedule an appointment, contact the Student Life front desk at 352-395-5912.
The Blount Center has a lactation room available on the east wing of the first floor. This room is available to any SF-affiliated nursing parent, student, faculty, staff, visitor, and breastfeeding spouse or partner. It is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you are attending classes at any of our educational centers and need help finding a space for your lactation needs, please talk with the center advisor.

Periodically, informational videos are added to Santa Fe College Educational Media Studio’s “Resources for Student-Parents and Student Caregivers” playlist. These videos cover a wide range of topics that may be of interest to students who are parents and caregivers.
Childcare Resources
- Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) Grant - Offers student-parents financial assistance with child care while attending classes.
- Santa Fe College Little School - Provides a safe, enriched, stimulating and loving learning environment for toddlers and preschool children.
- College for Kids - An academic program that offers students challenging, fun, hands-on learning experiences beyond the ordinary school environment.
