SF Names Provost Search Committee Members
March 27, 2023 – Santa Fe College announced the names of those selected to serve on the Provost Search Committee. The committee is comprised of both internal and external stakeholders, and represent multiple academic disciplines across the college. The committee also includes representation from Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and the Career Service Council.
The committee, whose members are listed below, will hold their first meeting Monday, March 27, at 2:30 p.m. in Building S, Room 29 on the college’s Northwest Campus. At the meeting, the committee will receive the charge from President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D. and begin reviewing applications.
The college is planning on holding on-site interviews with finalists in late April. All updated information from the college will be made on the Provost Search webpage, sfcollege.edu/provost-search.

Provost Search Committee Application Process
OVERVIEW:
The President will be selecting a diverse group of college faculty, academic leaders, administrators, and others to serve on the Provost Search Committee. Members must be able to commit significant time for meetings and activities related to applicant screening. These processes include the review of application materials and interviewing candidates to ultimately recommend candidates to the President for consideration. The duration of service for this search committee is anticipated to be from March – April 2023. Training will be required and attendance at scheduled meetings will be mandatory, as is compliance with all related rules, statutes and regulations. The first meeting of the search committee is scheduled for March 27, 2023.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Individuals serving on this committee should have an understanding of the trends, challenges, and opportunities that exist within higher education. They should be knowledgeable of the internal and external operations of the college and have a demonstrated interest in the college. Screening committee members must be committed to college and community service, student success, and academic excellence. Prior and current service to the college, participation in leadership development, and a commitment to the values, mission and goals of the college will be considered.
NOMINATION PROCESS:
Individuals that are interested in being considered for service on this committee should submit a single page letter that speaks to their qualifications based on the criteria noted above. The letter should also explain why they are interested in participating on this committee. Those who would like to nominate another individual may provide the same information as noted above regarding qualifications in the same single page format and should also include an explanation regarding the reason why they are nominating the individual.
