Program Overview
The Allied Healthcare Business Specialist, College Credit Certificate (C.C.C.) is a 12-credit hour certificate program that provides students with an introduction to the field of allied healthcare and prepares students for high demand high wage positions such as Release of Information Specialist.
The certificate includes course work in health information management, healthcare law, and common business and healthcare applications. A full-time student can complete the certificate in 1 semester and a part-time student can complete the certificate in 2 semesters. All courses must be passed with a grade of C or better to receive the certificate.
After completion of the certificate, students may continue their education in the Data Management Analytics Specialist Certificate, Revenue Cycle Management Medical Coder Biller Applied Technology Diploma, Associate in Science in Health Information Technology as well as Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Service Administration.
Requirements for Admission
The PERT Exam is required, demonstrating college level skills in reading, writing, and math. In addition, students should be familiar with computers and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
