Program Overview

Santa Fe College's Associate in Science (A.S.) in Accounting degree is a 60-credit hour program that prepares students to enter a bachelor's degree program, or to enter careers such as accounts receivable coordinators, accounts payable coordinators, bookkeepers, credit and collections coordinators, payroll coordinators, accountants, auditors, tax preparers, and other accounting paraprofessionals in advanced professional accounting occupations. The program is designed for both full-time and part-time students.

There are no Admissions requirements for this program. 

If a student is not at college level, they would take the prep classes before beginning the program courses, but could still be admitted.

Students can pursue two programs at the same time, such as an A.S. degree and an A.A. degree, or a primary degree and an alternate degree.

An accounting associate degree may prepare graduates for positions such as:

All students are urged to make an appointment to see SF's Business Programs Advisor once each semester to ensure that adequate progress toward a degree is being made. All students must apply for graduation upon enrollment in their last semester of coursework.
