Advisors support Associate in Arts degree seeking students and students completing developmental education courses. The A.A. Advisement Center provides students with information and guidance as they develop a plan to attain their educational goals - including course selection and sequencing, general education requirements, and transfer options and requirements. Students seeking a baccalaureate degree, A.S. degree, or one of our many certificate options, receive academic advising in their home departments. The Career Exploration Center (CEC) maintains informational resources to assist students in the career development process. This process often includes choosing career goals, majors, colleges and life directions. The CEC offers computerized assessments of a person’s interests, values, personality and other relevant factors. The Ombudsperson offers a safe and private environment for students to discuss concerns or complaints. As an advocate for fairness, the Ombudsperson serves as an independent and unbiased mediator as students resolve academic challenges.
