The District Board of Trustees of Santa Fe College, Florida, gives notice of its intent to amend Rules 2.14, 2.15, 2.19, 4.4, & 7.1, at its regularly scheduled Board meeting at 4:00 p.m. on 11/17/26, at the Kirkpatrick Center, 3737 NE 39th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32609.
Rule 2.14: Institutional Review Board
PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To clarify the composition of the Institutional Review Board and update Rule. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY: FS 1001.64; FS 1001.65; 45 CFR Part 46; 21 CFR Parts 50, 56, 312, 812. LAW IMPLEMENTED: FS 1001.64(43); FS 1001.65(16).
Rule 2.15: Behavioral Intervention Team
PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To clarify the composition of the Behavioral Intervention Team and update Rule to comport with current law and requirements. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY: FS 1001.64(23). LAW IMPLEMENTED: FS 1001.64(23), 119.071(3)(a), 281.301, 286.0113, 1002.225, 1006.52; 1006.601; Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”), 20 USC 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99; FAC 6A-14.012.
Rule 2.19: Artificial Intelligence Use
PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To adopt policies that provide for the use and limitations of use of artificial intelligence (A.I.) tools. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY: FS 1001.64. LAW IMPLEMENTED: FS 1001.64(4); FAC 6A-14.079.
Rule 4.4: Award of Transfer and Prior Learning Credit (formerly Transfer Credit)
PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To establish a policy to recognize and award academic credit for learning acquired outside the institution. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY: FS 1001.64(8). LAW IMPLEMENTED: FS 1004.68, 1007.23, 1007.24(7), 1007.263; FAC 6A-10.024.
Rule 7.1: Eligibility for Admission
PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To update Rule to comport with current law and requirements and to consolidate various policies on admission. General Authority: FS 1001.64, 1001.65. LAW IMPLEMENTED: FS 1007.263; 1007.264; 1007.265; 1007.22; 1007.271; FAC 6A-6.014, 6A-10.0240, 6A-10.041, 6A-14.030.
