Here’s some Santa Fe College news you might have missed:
- The Santa Fe College Annual Student Art Show opened with a reception and awards ceremony at the SF Gallery.
- SF students took home awards from the Orange and Blue Film Festival at the University of Florida.
- SF’s Research in Undergraduate Education held its annual Research Festival on Monday.
- SF honored its student-athletes, coaches and staff during the annual Players Choice Awards.
- SF students and faculty were featured in local news media recently.
- SF’s Sterile Processing Program was highlighted in a story in “Health Purchasing News” this month.
- Santa Fe College is one of only two Florida public colleges to earn a new designation for “Opportunity Colleges and Universities,” by the prestigious Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.
- The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence Advisory Committee will welcome new members starting in fall 2025.
- The SFPD is once again partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration for a Prescription Drug Take Back event, running from Thursday, April 24, through Sunday, April 27.
- Spring Commencement is May 1 and 2.
- The Institute of Public Safety will host an open house on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Kirkpatrick Center.
- On Saturday, May 17, the SF Teaching Zoo in Gainesville will host World Tree Kangaroo Day.
