Information for Visitors

The Lawrence W. Tyree Library welcomes visitors with the understanding that some services may not be available to those not affiliated with Santa Fe College. All visitors must follow the Library's Building Use Policy. For directions to the Library, visit the Library Location page.

Parking

Visitors may park in any space not marked with a blue line. Parking lots are available to the east and north of the building. View campus parking rules.

Computers

Computers in the Library only allow access to current Santa Fe College students, staff, and faculty. There is no guest computer access and no guest printing available.

Visitors may use the SFGuest wireless access point for personal devices. This will require a valid email address, and may have limited bandwidth.

Borrowing Privileges

Reciprocal borrowing privileges are extended to currently enrolled students and currently employed faculty and staff of all Florida public colleges and universities. Reciprocal borrowers may check out up to five items for a two week period. Some collections are not available to reciprocal borrowers. For more details, see our Circulation Policy.

Borrowing transactions require a picture ID card issued by the institution at which the borrower is currently enrolled or employed. Verification of enrollment or employment may be required. The Lawrence W. Tyree Library does not issue community or guest cards.

All visitors are welcome to use reference and circulating material so long as these remain in the building. Copiers are available on the first and second floors. Black and white copies are 10 cents per page; color copies are 25 cents per page. Two BookScan stations are available on the second floor. Material may be scanned for free and emailed or saved to a USB drive. Copyright Notice: The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of reproductions of copyrighted material. The person using a copier or BookScan station is liable for any infringement.
