Overview
The GSP is an academic honor earned by completing courses with strong international content and engaging in activities that broaden your understanding of international peoples, places and cultures.
It demonstrates your commitment to a worldview that is global and multi-cultural while also giving you the opportunity to demonstrate skills that are in demand in the modern workplace.
Requirements
- Meet with the Coordinator of International Education
- Complete 12 credit hours of internationally focused courses.
- Complete 70 international activity points by participating in various international opportunities like events, lectures, study abroad, virtual exchanges, volunteering, and more.
- Create an ePortfolio to showcase your global competence and international experiences.
Benefits
- Students will engage in various types of global opportunities to build global competency and become more culturally aware.
- Students will develop key skills like cross-cultural communication, adaptability, critical thinking, decision-making, and more to prepare to enter the global workforce.
- Students will create an ePortfolio to showcase their international experiences, which will help them articulate what they have learned.
- By completing the program, students will have a head start on the University of Florida’s International Scholar’s Program.
- Upon completing all program requirements, students will be awarded a medallion and certificate.

This program is self-guided and free to participate in. As a student, you may have already met some requirements - you will be able to track your progress in the GSP Canvas course as you complete them. You can also take advantage of many great resources to help you along the way.
