Jason Frank’s Teaching Philosophy
I’m excited by the potential of emerging technologies but believe the greatest impact a teacher has on a student lies in their ability to make a personal connection. Ultimately, the student must take responsibility for their learning; however, through effective design and delivery, an instructor can help students see the learning process as an opportunity for discovery rather than a barrier that must be broken through. I also believe in the power of Legos to make any instruction more engaging.

About Andy Sheppard
Andy Sheppard has provided educational technology and instructional design support for over fifteen years within higher education settings, where he collaborated with faculty to develop and support online instruction. Andy also teaches in Santa Fe College’s Community Education program.
Andy’s Teaching philosophy
My teaching philosophy was deeply influenced by my undergraduate studies within sociology and presupposes that all learning occurs within a social context. I believe that social dynamics (and presence) that occur within a physical environment or online environment are pivotal to the success of most learners. When collaborating to design online instruction, I seek opportunities to create instructor-to-student interaction as well as student-to-student interaction. I also think Jason has too many Legos for a grown man.
