Stop, Paws and Learn
2022 - TBD - Parents, kids, and animal lovers can learn about pets and pet care, help shelter pets find forever homes, and enjoy a hands on PBS Kids Zone with activities and giveaways
Party for the Planet
April 1-22, 2021 - Join us to Clean, Create, and Connect to nature to celebrate Earth Day. We’re throwing a virtual shindig for animals around the world and our own backyards, with opportunities to get involved throughout the month!
Tree Kangaroo Awareness Day
May 24-30, 2021 - It’s a bear! It’s a monkey! No…it’s a tree kangaroo! Visit our Facebook and Instagram pages during the last week in May to see these rare, majestic animals and learn how you can help them in the wild.
Zookeeper Week
July 18-24, 2021 - Have you ever wanted to be zookeeper? Join us online in celebrating the amazing work zookeepers do every day.
Boo At the Zoo

Rock the Zoo
February 2019 - Join Ken Block and Drew Copeland from Gainesville’s own Sister Hazel for a special event at the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, from 3 – 6 p.m.
Quiet Time at the Zoo
September 2019 - Join us for a special event for children on the autism spectrum. The event includes sensory activities and quiet zones, animal encounters, keeper talks, training demonstrations, food trucks and community resources.
