North Central Florida Educational Talent Search has been funded by the U.S. Department of Education since 1994.

Students participating in rocket buildingOur services are free to our students and are provided during the school day. Educational Talent Search students discuss issues which include the importance of high school grades, study and test taking skills, career options, preparing for college entrance exams such as the ACT, SAT or PLAN, and how to start preparing for college while still in high school. As students progress through high school, Educational Talent Search advisors work hand-in-hand with students to ensure that they are taking the courses necessary for high school graduation and college admission and assist students and their parents with completing college applications and financial aid forms. Talent Search advisors provide information on scholarships that are available both in Florida and nationwide. Each year, high school students have the option of going on tours of Florida college campuses.

North Central Florida Educational Talent Search advisors currently serve students at the following schools:

Alachua County

  • Hawthorne High School

Baker County

  • Baker County High School

Bradford County

  • Bradford High School

Columbia County

  • Fort White High School

Dixie County

  • Dixie County High School

Marion County

  • Dunnellon High School
  • North Marion High School
  • West Port High School

All students are eligible to apply for enrollment in Educational Talent Search. Special consideration is given to students who are income-eligible and are potentially the first generation in their family to attend college. Contact the Educational Talent Search advisor at your school for further information today!
