Educational Talent Search (ETS) can help. Our focus is helping students reach their college and career goals. Working one-on-one, our program counselors assist students by providing individualized mentorship including academic support, test preparation, study skills workshops, college and career exploration, and assistance with college admissions. Our students also participate in one-of-a-kind experiential field trips to colleges, university campuses and cultural centers. ETS currently serves 9th-12th grade high school students at Baker County High School, Bradford High School, Dixie County High School, Dunnellon High School, Fort White High School, Hawthorne High School, North Marion High School and West Port High School.
At ETS we believe in the power and potential of higher education. Our commitment is to provide each of our participants with the necessary information and resources they need to achieve their personal career aspirations. We mentor, advise, and coach students through each stage of their high school journey. At ETS, we help students go further!
Wondering about college or a career?
Educational Talent Search is a FREE, comprehensive program designed to help 9th through 12th grade students navigate their educational pathway. Through innovative programming, including virtual job shadowing, our students get an in-depth look at hundreds of career and college options.
The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and provided to you by the College of Central Florida, Florida Gateway College, and Santa Fe College, regardless of which college or postsecondary school you are interested in attending.
The program provides:
- group and one-on-one mentorship
- guidance with course selection and choosing a career
- new study skills, and strategies for effective test taking and how to deal with test anxiety
- tours to nearby colleges and universities campuses
- help with college admissions and scholarship searches
- assistance with financial aid forms and other college application documents
