Why Santa Fe College: Santa Fe College is a gateway for students to get into UF, while allowing students to pay less for undergraduate education. The affordable education and notoriety for being a feeder school to the University of Florida is what influenced me to come here.
Interesting Fact About You: I spent nearly a decade of my life in Ocala, the “Horse Capital”, and only recently found out I am allergic to horses.
Hobbies: Researching corporations, both small and large, and creating model financial statements.
Why Did I Join Student Government: I joined Student Government to be engaged with both the college and the community. Santa Fe is one of the few colleges that has shared governance between students and administration, which is just one of many things that puts us above the rest.
5-Year Goal: In five years from now, I will be 24 years old. I plan to be healthier by working out more and eating better now. I plan to have started either my first major professional career, or my first business venture. If I want to gain more education after either of these, I plan on earning my master’s in business administration. Being featured in Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” would be nice too.
Advice for Freshman: Always use resources that are best fitted to you. Figure out your learning style and adapt to a routine that will allow you to succeed in your academics. You represent the future of our world, so be innovative, creative, entrepreneurial, make the world a better place, and most of all, do what you love. Your past does not determine your future. You create it.
