Overview
The Personalized Graduation Experience will take place on April 28 and April 29. Every 15 minutes a new group of students and their guests will enter and exit the lobby of the Fine Arts Hall. In each 15 minute session the graduates will:
- Hear their names announced
- Walk across the stage
- Take a photo
- Exit out
The Personalized Graduation Experience is by appointment only.
Students in need of accommodations should complete the Accommodations For Events form by April 15, 2022, allowing the college to make reasonable efforts to provide accommodations.
Participant Instructions
- Plan to arrive at your appointment time.
- Parking will be available in Lots 3, 4 and 5.
- Upon entering the building, each graduate will be handed an information card to fill out for the photographers. Graduates must hand the completed card to a staff member prior to crossing the stage.
Caps and Gowns
Caps and gowns are not required for the Personalized Graduation Experience.
Students wanting their regalia shipped can order online until March 18, 2022. Diploma frames, rings, announcements and nursing pins may be purchased online too. Caps, gowns, tassels and hoods will be available for sale at the SF Bookstore beginning March 28, 2022. Sales cannot be processed over the phone for security reasons.
Personalized Graduation Experience Safety Protocols
Note: We will implement CDC guidelines and any state or local orders for COVID-19 that are in effect as of the date of the ceremony. Due to the safety procedures in place, we expect there may be some delays. We thank you in advance for your patience.
- Social distancing will be required.
- Masks are expected.
- Guests should not attend if they or someone in their household has COVID-19 and/or symptoms that may evidence COVID-19.
- Please follow all markings and signage to ensure the health and safety of other guests and event staff. Any guest not abiding by social distancing requirements and other facility policies may be asked to leave the premises.
- Remember that Santa Fe College is a no-smoking campus.
- Students and guests attending commencement are asked to refrain from carrying large bags and packages. Santa Fe College reserves the right to inspect all bags and packages entering the building and refuse any item our staff deems harmful, dangerous, or obtrusive. Please leave all non-essential items at home or in a secure place.
- Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
- Outside food and drink (water is ok)
- Alcohol, drugs, weapons, fireworks, explosives, pepper spray
- Laser pointers, air horns, noisemakers
- Strollers, bicycles, roller blades, skates, skateboards, hoverboards
- Video cameras, audio recorders, cameras with detachable lenses and cameras with fixed lenses longer than 6"
- Oversized bags (defined as 15" x 9" x 6")
- Selfie sticks, monopods, tripods
- Balloons
