Program Overview
This program provides you with the basic requirements to transfer to a college or university as a junior to complete a bachelor’s degree. You are responsible for completing the admission requirements of the university in order to transfer.
Your associate degree will also include required courses in general critical thinking, or in other words the liberal arts. The liberal arts include courses in things such as English, humanities and arts, the social sciences, and science and math.
The Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree is a two-year liberal arts degree designed for the student who intends to transfer into a bachelor's degree program. You do not earn an A.A. in a specific major; however, you do have the opportunity to track toward a specific major at a university by choosing a related advisement track at Santa Fe College. If you don’t see a track geared toward your intended transfer major, you may choose General Studies and speak with your academic advisor.
