Program Overview
This curriculum is structured to provide students academic flexibility to meet requirements for transfer, career exploration or personal goals. The transferability of this program depends on courses, transfer program, institution or career selected. This curriculum contains General Education courses and general electives.
These courses generally transfer as major or elective courses. General electives are to be used to meet individual goals. It is strongly recommended students work closely with an adviser to create an individualized plan of study.
Upon completion of this program a student will be able to:
- Demonstrate general education competencies.
- Describe a connection between elective choices and their personal, occupational or academic goals.
The Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree is a two-year liberal arts degree designed for the student who intends to transfer into a bachelor's degree program. You do not earn an A.A. in a specific major; however, you do have the opportunity to track toward a specific major at a university by choosing a related advisement track at Santa Fe College. If you don’t see a track geared toward your intended transfer major, you may choose General Studies and speak with your academic advisor.
