SF Participates in National Mental Illness Awareness Week

October 9, 2017 - The Santa Fe College Counseling Center hosted an event Oct. 5 in the S breezeway to raise awareness for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) National Mental Illness Awareness week. The goal was to raise mental health awareness and combat stigma. Community and campus resources who joined the event included: Meridian Behavioral Health, NAMI, Alachua County Crisis Center, UF Health Department of Psychiatry, Gainesville Peer Respite, Gainesville Opportunity Center and the SF Police Department. SF students were able to visit the various tables and interact with these important community resources.
