DOs
- Students must present a valid photo ID (Driver’s license, state issued ID, military ID, or passport) to the Watson Center Lab Assistant upon entering the lab.
- Sign in and out of the lab each time you visit.
- Please turn off your cell phones while in the lab.
- Please be quiet and do not speak above a whisper, as the lab is also used for testing.
- If the lab is full, sign the waiting list. As computers become available, names on the waiting list will be called in order. Lab Assistants cannot reserve a workstation for you.
- Check out with the Lab assistant when you leave.
- Collect your cell phones and personal items (books bag/purse) when you leave the lab.
- Bring a flash drive to save your work. DO NOT save documents on the computer.
- Check the bulletin board for changes to the lab hours during holidays and/or semester breaks.
- If you are disabled, please do not hesitate to ask for help in getting set up at a computer and/or making any adjustments needed to make the computer accessible to you.
DON’Ts
- NO FOOD OR DRINKS are to be consumed while at computers. Please leave these items on the table at the entrance of the lab.
- Modify or alter computers by any means, including but not limited to installing programs, saving documents on the computer, saving or deleting computer files and/or changing the desktop configuration.
- Display or transmit pornographic material on any Santa Fe computer.
- Display or transmit racist, sexist, obscene or harassing messages and/or materials using the Santa Fe email system.
- Use abusive language or cause disruptions in the lab.
If you violate the above policies, your Santa Fe email account may be suspended and you may be denied to all Santa Fe labs pending your hearing with the Student Disciplinary Committee.
