Library Mission Statement
The Lawrence W. Tyree Library supports Santa Fe College with knowledgeable staff, appropriate resources, and an environment that promotes user success and life-long learning.
- Study rooms are for educational purposes only. No groups or individuals may charge fees to attend or participate in a group or use the study rooms.
- Anyone using a study room without a reservation will be asked to yield the room for users with a reservation. Reservation requests must be submitted through the online booking system. Users must go to the 1st floor Circulation Desk or 2nd floor Reference Desk at the time of their reservation to receive the room reservation card. To fulfill and maintain a reservation, the minimum number of occupants for that room must be present.
- If all users leave the study room at the same time during the period of their reservation, they forfeit their reservation. The room will become available to others for use.
- Users who are unable to make their reserved time should contact the Library at 352-395-5409 or by email at reference@sfcollege.edu. Failure to show within 15 minutes after the reserved time will result in cancellation of that reservation.
- Rooms may be reserved up to 2 weeks in advance. During the last two weeks of fall and spring semesters, study room use may be limited. Modified rules will be posted in advance.
- In accordance with Santa Fe College Rule 6.4 – Use of College Facilities, the library study rooms may not be used by tutors not employed by the college.
- Users may not leave personal items unattended in the study rooms. Any items left in study rooms will be taken to the SF Police Department’s Lost and Found. Staff is not responsible for personal property left in study rooms by users.
- Users should respect other library users by keeping the door closed and refraining from loud noises.
Failure to follow any of these policies may result in loss of library privileges or disciplinary sanctions.
Santa Fe College is committed to an environment that embraces diversity, respects the rights of all individuals, is open and accessible, and is free of harassment and discrimination based on, but not limited to, ethnicity, race, creed, color, religion, age, disability, sex, marital status, national origin, genetic information, political opinions or affiliations, and veteran status in all its programs, activities and employment.
