Library Mission Statement
The Lawrence W. Tyree Library supports Santa Fe College with knowledgeable staff, appropriate resources, and an environment that promotes user success and life-long learning.
- Computers in the Library are intended for student use and academic purposes, such as accessing library/college resources and completing coursework.
- Library computers are available for use by current Santa Fe students, staff, and faculty. Users must log in with a valid SF ID number and password.
- The Library’s computers are part of the college computer laboratory (lab) system. All the same college rules apply. Users must follow the college’s Appropriate Use Policy and Student Computer Use Policy.
- YOU WILL LOSE COMPUTER PRIVILEGES IF YOU:
- Display, print, or transmit pornographic material in any SF computer lab.
- Display, print, or transmit racist, sexist, obscene or harassing messages and/or materials using the SF email system or SF's access to the Internet.
- Use abusive language or cause disruptions in the Library.
- Modify or alter a computer workstation by any means, including but not limited to installing programs, saving or deleting workstation files, and changing the desktop configuration.
- If you violate the above policy, your SF email account will be suspended and you will be denied access to all SF computer labs pending your hearing with the Student Disciplinary Committee.
- In accordance with the college Student Computer Use Policy, under no circumstances should users disclose their account login information or use another person’s account log in.
SF students, faculty, and staff with special assistive technology needs have first priority for use of the Library’s adaptive technology workstation for academic purposes.
Failure to follow any of these policies may result in loss of library privileges or disciplinary sanctions.
