Conducting Research at Santa Fe College
Research involving students, faculty, or staff at Santa Fe College requires prior authorization.
At Santa Fe College, approval of research applications is a two-step process: Santa Fe College's Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews research applications involving human subjects. Once research applications are reviewed, the application must then be approved by Santa Fe College’s IRB.
Researchers should allow for 6–8 weeks for application reviews. Data collection may not begin until the researcher receives notification that his or her application has been approved by Santa Fe College’s IRB.
