Faculty Exchange Opportunities
Santa Fe College maintains international cooperation agreements with the following colleges and universities:
- Atma Jaya University in Jakarta, Indonesia
- Beijing Union University in Beijing, China
- Universidade Estadual Paulista "Julio De Mesquita Filho" (UNESP) in Sao Paolo, Brazil
- Technical College of Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University in Ternopil, Ukraine
All of these help support faculty exchange programs. These serve as valuable professional development opportunities for our faculty to learn more about other countries, engage with foreign professionals in their discipline, and consider new ways they can internationalize their curriculum. Santa Fe and its foreign partners will finance the cost of a two week SF faculty visit to one of the universities listed above during the Spring and Summer of 2017. The individuals who are selected to participate in these exchange programs will serve as visiting academics at our partner universities, offer lectures on a variety of topics, develop new professional relationships, and visit historic landmarks. All full-time faculty members are eligible to apply and invited to download the Faculty Exchange Application. The application deadline is September 15. Please direct all questions and the completed application to Dr. Vilma Fuentes, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at vilma.fuentes@sfcollege.edu (ext. 5030).
Internationalizing the Curriculum Awards
These awards support internationalization of the curriculum and are available to both adjunct and full-time faculty members. The awards may be used to support the development of new courses, new course modules, the creation of electronic resources (websites, faculty handbooks, etc.), or other such actions that help internationalize the curriculum. Proposals that demonstrate global learning outcomes and contribute to the long-term internationalization of Santa Fe courses or programs will be given priority. Download the application for the "Internationalizing the Curriculum Award". Please direct all questions and the completed application to Dr. Vilma Fuentes, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at vilma.fuentes@sfcollege.edu (ext. 5030).
