Dr. Hale Toklu graduated from the College of Pharmacy at Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey in 1998. She later obtained an MS degree in 2001 and a PhD in Pharmacology in 2006.from Marmara University. She earned tenure within the Department of Pharmacology at Marmara University in 2011. She is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Medical Education at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She also teaches courses in anatomy and physiology at Santa Fe College.
Dr. Toklu has broad teaching experience at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. She has taught courses in pharmacotherapy, pharmacology, pharmacy practice, physiology, anatomy, and research methodology within the College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, College of Nursing, College of Health Sciences, the Institute of Health Sciences, and Continuing Pharmacy Education for Community Pharmacists programs at universities in Turkey and Cyprus. She has served on several educational boards which developed curricula for pharmacy programs and has received 10 national and international scientific awards. She has published more than 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals and written 6 books/ book chapters.
She is currently the Director of Research of UCF/ HCA Graduate Medical Education Consortium.
