Information
A Dallas, Texas native, Russell Schultz has been a professional actor and director for over 20 years. As an actor, Russell has worked with Stage West in Fort Worth and the WaterTower Theatre in Dallas. He has also worked locally at the Hippodrome State Theatre in Gainesville. Russell has performed in several TV series, most notably, Walker, Texas Ranger and Wishbone, as well as many other commercial and industrial film projects. He has also worked with James Babanikos on Coming Home and Fred Turns Fifty. As director, Russ has helmed Blood Wedding and 10 Out of 12 for The University of Florida and A Chorus Line and War of the Worlds for Santa Fe College. Russell has also voiced animae characters for Funimation Studios in Dallas, Texas.
Russell's research interests include the training and use of the human voice, with a particular focus on orchestrating the Greek chorus. He is also active in online education and furthering the development of Santa Fe's first Introduction to Theatre Online class.
Outside of work, Russell is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys camping, hiking and fishing, as well as Florida Gators and Dallas Cowboys football.
