Looking for an engaging course that explores both the ethics of research and how to conduct meaningful research on ethical issues? Consider enrolling in PHI 2930: Research & Ethics, taught by the fantastic Ronald Claypool.

This unique, student-driven course will examine ethical questions surrounding research across a variety of fields before turning to the practice of researching ethical issues themselves. Students will use cases from the 2026 Regional Ethics Bowl as a starting point and then develop an individual research project on a topic of their choosing with guidance from the instructor. The course is designed to be interactive, exploratory, and highly personalized.
