Overview
Santa Fe College manages several internationally focused, grant-funded programs that expand access to high-impact global learning opportunities for the SF community. These grants support innovative partnerships, experiential learning, and inclusive global engagement, and have long been a cornerstone of Global Education programming at Santa Fe College.

Florida Heritage Foods
Florida Heritage Foods is a statewide initiative focused on preserving and promoting Florida’s diverse foodways, agricultural traditions, and cultural heritage. Through partnerships, research, and experiential learning opportunities, the project highlights the global connections embedded in local food systems and provides students with hands-on learning tied to sustainability, history, and community identity.
Herds and Heritage
Herds and Heritage is a US State Department IDEAS grant. It is an emerging international initiative centered in Mongolia, exploring connections between rural livelihoods, culture, conservation, and sustainable development. The project emphasizes cross-cultural learning and collaborative research, with opportunities for student and faculty engagement at Santa Fe’s Centers. More information will be available soon.
Santa Fe College has a well-established history of successfully leading and managing internationally funded programs that advance global learning, institutional partnerships, and cross-cultural exchange. Through competitive grants and federal partnerships, the college has implemented innovative initiatives that connect students, educators, and communities across borders while strengthening academic quality, workforce preparation, and mutual understanding.
100,000 Strong in the Americas
Santa Fe College received a 100,000 Strong in the Americas grant from the U.S. Department of State to implement a virtual and face-to-face exchange program with students from the Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA) in Cartagena, Colombia.
Capacity Building
Santa Fe College received a Capacity Building Grant from the U.S. Department of State in order to develop and implement a biotechnology internship program in Brazil.
Community College Administrator Program
The Community College Administrator Program (CCAP) is a six-week program of study for higher education administrators from post-secondary vocational and technical institutions in foreign countries.
Small Diplomacy Grant
Santa Fe College is honored to receive a Small Diplomacy Grant from the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv in order to encourage American and Ukrainian youth to engage each other in a conversation about inclusive education and how to prevent harassment.
