Santa Fe College's Visual Arts Program has a faculty of professional, practicing artists who provide instruction and advisement for more than 225 Visual Arts majors.
These students are readied to continue their studies successfully both within the state university system as well as at institutions nationwide.
“Currently working towards my MFA in painting at UMass Amherst, with an assistantship teaching life drawing for the last two semesters, I realize how indebted I am to the instruction at SF. Thank you so much for your passion, integrity, and genuine concern for us-your students."

The Visual Arts Program also houses the Santa Fe Galleries, which serve Santa Fe College students, faculty, staff and the community through exhibitions of quality artwork. Each spring the Santa Fe College Gallery is host to the Student Art Exhibition. This displays Visual Arts students' work in a competitive, juried show. Another exhibition opportunity is the League Student Art Competition among community college students across North America. SF Visual Arts students have represented their school in this contest since its inception 20 years ago. In 2006-2007, SF served as host to this prestigious competition which rotates annually among the 19 board member institutions of the League for Innovation in the Community College.
