Important Financial Aid Dates
Date | Description |
July 1 | Best Results Date for fall start – A completed FAFSA should be received by Santa Fe College, along with any needed documents listed in eSantaFe. The Financial Aid office highly recommends this deadline for stress-free, on-time awarding by the Fall Fees Due date. |
July 15 | Current Academic Year Cutoff Date - Students file must be complete and verified for the academic year that ended on June 30th (or 10 days prior to your last day of enrollment, whichever is earlier). |
August 1 | Financial Aid Priority Date for fall term – Submit a completed FAFSA and all financial aid related documents needed to complete your file. If done by this date, you are likely to be awarded in time for a deferment by the time classes begin. |
October 1 | FAFSA Application opens for the following academic year – Using your tax information, complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid early to receive the most amount of funds you are eligible for. Submit Financial Aid Related Documents. |
December 1 | Financial Aid Priority Date* for spring term – Submit a completed FAFSA and all financial aid related documents needed to complete your file. If done by this date, you are likely to be awarded in time for a deferment. |
March 15 | Priority Deadline for Upcoming Academic Year - Priority “on time” deadline for maximum funding for fall, spring, and summer of the upcoming academic year. |
April 1 | Financial Aid Priority Date* for summer term – Submit a completed FAFSA and all financial aid related documents needed to complete your file. If done by this date, you are likely to be awarded in time for a deferment. |
June 30 | Last day to submit FAFSA for the current academic year - Federal processor must receive online FAFSA for the current academic year by midnight Central Daylight Time. |
