The Family Fund application is open year round and has no deadline. Applications are reviewed as they are received.

Family Fund Form

The Career Service Family Fund was set up to lend a helping hand to Career Service employees when experiencing extremely difficult times, financial hardships, or during times of unexpected events.

Eligibility Requirements and Assistance

  • The purpose of the Santa Fe College Career Service Council Family Fund is to provide monetary assistance to SF Career Service employees during certain unforeseen events. Qualifying events include, but are not limited to natural disasters, house fires, death of immediate family member such as a spouse, automobile accident, unforeseen medical issues, bills, and/or other financial obligations.
  • To be eligible you must be a current SF non-probationary Career Service employee. Request for assistance are accepted on an as-needed basis, should be made by application and directed to the Secretary of the Career Service Council or appropriate designee.
  • The monetary amount of assistance is to be determined based upon the availability of funds. Funds are intended to meet immediate needs of basic life essentials such as, food, shelter, medical services, utilities and/or other obligations.
  • Applicants may only receive aid from the Family Fund once during a 12 month period and no more than twice within a three year period.
  • Applications are to be reviewed by the Santa Fe College Career Service Council Executive Officers and the applicant will be notified upon approval via email. Confidentiality is a priority. All applicant and recipient information remains anonymous and is only reviewed by the Santa Fe College Career Service Council Executive Officers.
  • Funds will be issued only to the employee or appropriate designee and may be dispersed in the form of a check or gift card.
  • The Santa Fe College Career Service Council Executive Officers have the ultimate authority regarding the use of funds, as well as oversees the administration and disbursement of funds.
