Course Information
Students will design object-oriented applications with Java and will be exposed to concepts, terminology and syntax to create Java programs using hands on, engaging activities. This course will help you earn the Java SE 8 Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) certification and will help you build a foundational understanding of Java. Gaining this certification credential is the first step in demonstrating you have the high-level skills needed to become a professional Java developer.
You will learn:
- Java basics
- Working with Java data types
- Using operators and decision constructs
- Using loop constructs
- Working with methods and encapsulation
- Creating and using arrays
- Working with inheritance
- Handling exceptions
- Working with selected classes from the Java API
