Construction Graduates lay the foundation for the Gator Nation
Graduates of Santa Fe College’s Building Construction Technology program are helping build the Gator Nation in Gainesville and beyond. Locally, construction graduates and apprentices are laying the physical foundation to the Gator Nation, working on projects such as the Warrington College of Business expansion on UF’s campus.
An A.S. degree in Building Construction Technology gives graduates the technical skills required in the industry, blended with management training. Graduates are comfortable both in the office environment and on the job site.
According to graduate survey data from 2013, 82 percent of graduates entered the workforce upon graduation in construction related fields, many of them staying close to home, working on projects like the new Springhill expansion on 39th Avenue, directly across from SF’s Northwest Campus.
