Bachelor's Degree Scholarships

The Santa Fe College Board of Trustees has created four, merit-based scholarships for deserving students who are enrolled in a Santa Fe College baccalaureate program. The scholarships are awarded for fall, spring and summer terms. The number of credit hours that may be covered includes 12 credit hours for the fall term, 12 credit hours for the spring term and six credit hours for the summer term.  

Tentative term awards will be calculated using a fixed cost per credit hour with a commensurate amount per credit hour higher than the regular in-state scholarships to be determined each year by December 1 for the following year.

How to Apply

Submit all of the following Application Documents

  1. Completed Santa Fe College Baccalaureate Scholarship Application
  2. Copy of Student Transcripts
  3. Reference Forms and Letters of Recommendation from two professors
  4. A two page Personal Statement explaining why you should be considered for this scholarship. Discuss your academic and career goals and how this scholarship would help you achieve them. 

Submit all the required documents listed above to the Baccalaureate Scholarship Committee, 3000 NW 83 Street, Office F252, Gainesville, FL 32606. Applications are accepted year round, and those received after each semester deadline will be held for the following term.


Students must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for the Baccalaureate Scholarship:

  • Have completed an associate’s degree
  • Be entering or enrolled in a baccalaureate program at Santa Fe College.
  • Possess a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
  • Scholarship must be applied to coursework only at the upper division level 

Students who receive a Baccalaureate Scholarship must:

  • Maintain a minimum of 3.0 semester GPA in upper-division course work
  • Demonstrate adequate progress towards graduating with an SF degree

Baccalaureate Scholarship Committee

A Baccalaureate Scholarship Committee comprised of baccalaureate administrators, advisors, and faculty will review all scholarship application packets. The Scholarship Committee will primarily evaluate a student’s academic performance in prerequisite and upper division courses, faculty letters of recommendation, and career goals as explained in the two page narrative.  The committee's recommendations will be forwarded to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs or designee for final selection of students.

Award letters will be emailed to students confirming the award of a scholarship and semester during which it is being offered. All scholarship recipients must register for all courses by the end of the drop and add period of each standard term for the courses to be included in the calculation of the award.

Scholarship recipients in need of additional financial aid beyond their scholarship funds should apply for federal student financial aid and for funds from other sources, including state, private, and the Santa Fe College Foundation.

The Santa Fe College Provost's Office reserves the right to make final scholarship decisions. Any application containing false or misleading information or documentation can result in revocation of the scholarship.
