COVID-19 Information

Santa Fe College has made many changes to our operations based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Florida Department of Health, and local emergency management agencies. These changes are designed to enhance safety at the college and include:
- Wearing cloth face coverings/masks
- Practicing physical distancing
- Conducting all meetings and more classes remotely*
- Scheduling on-campus appointments in advance
*Students and employees can use their SFID to utilize Zoom and Microsoft Teams, the online conferencing platforms supported by the college.
You are encouraged to read more about new college safety protocols, including what to do if you or someone you've been in contact with has COVID-19.
Support for our Students and Employees
The college has added new ways to take a class, so everyone can find a format that they are comfortable with. But even though classes are getting back to normal, COVID-19 has presented many of us with personal challenges. Students experiencing heightened anxiety can reach out to the SF Counseling Center. The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs is also available to help students who need to self-quarantine and are concerned about how that will affect their classes. Faculty and staff are encouraged to use the Employee Assistance Plan (EAP), and to talk to Human Resources about self-quarantine or any concerns regarding leave and/or absences.
As always, our SF Police Department is open 24/7, and is available to provide support and/or guidance to the SF community during non-business hours.

July 28, 2020 – Santa Fe College released their Return to Campus Guide Tuesday afternoon. SF Executive Leadership released the document to make it available before the SF town hall Wednesday, July 29, at 2:30 p.m., where college leadership, along with Alachua County Health Department Administrator Paul Myers will update the college community on the steps taken to help mitigate risk at the college, as well as the partnership between the college and the Department of Health on protocols in the event of a COVID-19 positive case at the college.
The town hall will be live streamed, and followed immediately by a question and answer session. Questions can be submitted to SF Communications Manager Jay Anderson at jay.anderson@sfcollege.edu. A recording of the entire event will be made available once it is captioned.
