General Education Courses

You must complete courses from each of these areas in order to graduate – view your Degree Audit Detail for list of courses. We recommend consulting with your advisor each semester to stay on track.

Writing Intensive Course Requirement – A total of 12 hours are required: 6 hours in Communications, and 6 hours from other categories as per state rule 6A-10.030.

Do you meet the A.A. Foreign Language Competency Requirement? If not, speak with your academic advisor regarding how to include it in your plan.

Required Courses for UF Transfer

A 3.0 minimum GPA is required in the following courses:

  • ART1201C - 2-Dimensional Design
  • ART1203C - 3-Dimensional Design
  • ART1300C - Drawing 1
  • ART1301C - Drawing 2
  • ART2050 - Art History 1
  • ARH2051 - Art History 2
  • An additional studio course in photography
  • An additional studio course in photography (for a total of two photo studios)

*Applicants are strongly encouraged to complete as many studio prerequisites as possible prior to submitting application, as the work created in these courses usually contributes to a stronger portfolio. Additionally, the studio prerequisites listed above are the minimum requirements. It is highly recommends that students take more than the minimum required studio courses.

  • Admission to UF is not guaranteed
  • May take more than 60 hours to complete both A.A. requirements and UF requirements
