General Education Courses

Writing Intensive Course Requirement – A total of 12 hours are required: 6 hours in Communications, and 6 hours from other categories as per state rule 6A-10.030.

Do you meet the A.A. Foreign Language Competency Requirement? If not, speak with your academic advisor regarding how to include it in your plan.

Required Courses for UF Transfer

The UF School of Art + Art History (SA+AH) majors are LIMITED ACCESS. Having the minimum GPA, prerequisite coursework, and portfolio/letter of intent does NOT guarantee admission.

A minimum 3.0 GPA is required for the following courses:

  • ARH2050 - Art History 1
  • ARH2051 - Art History 2
  • ARH2500 - Non-Western Art History Survey
  • One ART studio course (e.g. drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, photography, etc.)
  • Two consecutive semesters of college-level foreign language
