Steps to Enroll

Student enrolled at another college or university and taking classes at SF for one term should follow these steps in order to become a student at SF. Credits earned at SF will apply toward degree at home institution.

Apply for Admission

Florida public college/university students:

  • Apply through FloridaShines site.

Florida private and out-of-state students:

  • Apply for admission to SF using our online application.
  • After you submit, wait 30 minutes, log in to eSantaFe and go to “My Status” to check your progress throughout the admissions process.

Submit Transient Letter

Florida public college/university students:

  • Completed through FloridaShines Application.

Florida private and out-of-state students:

  • Students should contact their home institution’s Academic Advising or Registrar's Office to request their letter. The letter must be on official letter head and list each course and term they are approved to take at SF College. The transient letter should be submitted to the Office of Admissions.

Complete Residency Declaration for Discounted Tuition

Florida public college/university students:

  • Completed through FloridaShines Application.

Florida private and out-of-state students:

The tuition you pay is determined by your residency classification. Florida residents pay a much lower (discounted) tuition rate than out-of-state residents. All students who apply for admission will be admitted as non-Florida residents pending submission of the required forms and supporting documentation needed to prove Florida residency.

  1. Login to your eSantaFe account and check your “My Status” for next steps to complete the residency process.
  2. The residency declaration and all supporting documentation must be submitted prior to the first day of classes of your first term in order to receive discounted tuition.

For more information on Florida Residency, visit the Discounted Tuition page.

Register for Classes

  • Complete the Registration Agreement in “My Status”.
  • Register and pay for classes in eSantaFe.
    • Fees must be paid prior to the date posted on your “My Schedule” or you will be purged from your classes.
    • You cannot receive financial aid at both your home and host institution. The best option is for the home school for which you are degree-seeking to provide financial aid. Learn more regarding financial aid for transient students.
